Celebrate Women’s History Month in March with the City of West Palm Beach 

WEST PALM BEACH, FL – The City of West Palm Beach will observe Women’s History Month in March with free events at the Mandel Public Library of West Palm Beach (411 Clematis St.) for adults. No registration is required.

Women’s History Month celebrates women’s contributions to history, culture, and society. It is a time to remember and recognize the often-overlooked contributions of women to United States history.

Women’s History Month: Women Politicking Politely
Saturday, Mar. 4, 2023

Join Kimberly Voss, Ph.D. as she reveals the relatively unknown stories of six important women who laid the foundation for improving women’s equality in the U.S. Learn about the female political operatives who worked behind the scenes as well as journalists who worked within the government to advance women’s rights from the 1950s through the 1970s.

Women’s History Month: More than Orange Blossoms

Join internationally celebrated storyteller, teaching artist, and Chautauqua scholar, Carrie Sue Ayvar as she discusses the feisty, fabulous females of Florida who helped shape the state. Discover stories of strong, courageous women like Julia Tuttle, known as the Mother of Miami, or Mary McCleod Bethune, daughter of enslaved parents who went on to become an advisor to several U.S. presidents. Learn how these and many other brave women impacted their communities, Florida, and the nation.

Women’s History Month: Women in the Workforce Series

Women in the Workforce is a growing online professional support network featuring female guest presenters who speak on personal and professional topics of their own expertise. Past presenters have included professors, CEOs, entrepreneurs, and life coaches who have spoken on topics ranging from “Empowering the Female Entrepreneur,” “Menopause in the Workplace Redefined,” and “Building Confidence from the Ground Up.” Join us monthly for learning, connecting, and advancing a growth mindset within the framework of life-work balance.
