The 7th Annual 5K Family Fun Day and Picnic returns Nov. 4

Bring your family to enjoy a day of fitness and fun at the 7th Annual 5K Family Fun Day and Picnic at Zoo Miami on Nov. 4. The event includes departmental relay races, giveaways, contests, a picnic and more. Visit the animals as you run or walk the 5K course and then celebrate with our County workforce by joining the post 5K activities. 

The 5K is open to all ages and fitness levels. Register early for discounted tickets. Participants must register online for this event by Oct. 14. No tickets will be available for purchase on event day. T-shirt sizing and race day packets cannot be guaranteed to those who register after Sept. 22.

Early Registration Fees (offer ends on Sept. 22)

  • 5K Only – $10
  • Fun Day and Picnic Only – $15 
  • 5K, Fun Day and Picnic – $20

General Registration Fees (after Sept. 22)

  • 5K Only – $15
  • Fun Day and Picnic Only – $20 
  • 5K, Fun Day and Picnic – $25

Schedule of Events

  • 7 a.m. – Experienced Runners Start Time
  • 7:30 a.m. – General Race Start Time
  • 8 a.m. – Closing Time 
  • 9 a.m. – Awards Ceremony 
  • 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. – Departmental Relay Race (during the picnic)
  • 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Picnic
