The Better Bus Network is here with new connections, improved service and free fares

We’re launching the Better Bus Network (BBN), a community-led redesign of our county’s bus system, on Nov. 13. The new network includes major improvements to make our service more effective, frequent, and reliable. The long-awaited BBN will be the most significant improvement to the Metrobus system in 40 years.

The new network provides quicker connections for residents to major employers, educational institutions, and healthcare providers – in 45 minutes or less. And there’s never been a better time to try transit with free fares across all modes from Nov. 13 – Dec. 31, including the new and improved MetroConnect, our on-demand shared ride service.

Riders are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the new network and map their commutes by using our trip planner at miamidade.gov/BetterBus. Riders can download the MetroConnect app or call 786-321-5842 to sign up and use the FREE, on-demand service.

For customer service information regarding the new bus network or free fares, residents can call 311 or 305-468-5900 for customer service in English, Spanish or Creole from Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., and Saturday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Individuals with a hearing or speech disability can call Florida Relay at 711. The 311 Contact Center is closed on Sundays and holidays. Download the 311Direct app to stay connected.

For questions or concerns regarding free fares or monthly passes, please call the EASY Card Customer Service team at 786-469-5151, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. except County-observed holidays or via email at [email protected]. Miami-Dade Transit patrons will have a chance to request a refund if they have already purchased a 1-Month Pass.

For more on DTPW services, visit miamidade.gov/transit or download the GO Miami-Dade Transit app

Together, we’re making Miami-Dade more connected and sustainable. Enjoy the journey with us!
