COPA America comes to Our County

COPA America is coming to Miami-Dade County! Sixteen teams will battle it out for their shot as champions of COPA America 2024, the 48th edition of the oldest national teams’ tournament in the world.

Miami-Dade County is proud to be a host for several of the big matches, including the COPA America 2024 Final on July 14!

Here are the matches happening at the Hard Rock Stadium:

  • June 23 — Panama vs Uruguay
  • June 29 — Argentina vs Peru
  • July 14 — COPA America 2024 Final (TBD vs TBD)

Whether you’re visiting our County or you live here, here are some tips to help you navigate the events and make the most of your COPA America experience.

Follow these safety tips to help ensure your well-being when attending an event:

  • It’s hot out there! Become familiar with common signs of heat stroke and heat exhaustion
  • Stay hydrated. Drink plenty of water, wear light clothing and take breaks in cool, shaded areas
  • The weather moves fast around here. Be sure to monitor forecasts and plan accordingly
  • Have a plan – identify and remember meeting points in case you get separated from the group
  • If you see something, say something! Safety is a shared responsibility
  • Follow all instructions provided by event staff and first responders

Know before you go. If you’re attending the games at Hard Rock Stadium, leave prohibited items at home. The following items are prohibited at the stadium:

  • Fireworks, flares, explosives, ammo, or any other incendiary items or devices
  • Air horns, whistles, and noisemakers
  • Alcohol of any kind
  • Glass bottles, cans, coolers, thermoses and ice chests
  • Purses larger than 12” x 2” x 12”
