On Dec. 1, Miami-Dade County stands with communities worldwide to observe World AIDS Day—a time to remember those lost to HIV/AIDS, support those living with the virus, and renew our commitment to ending the epidemic.
As one of the most impacted regions in the U.S., Miami-Dade continues to lead with compassion and action. Through partnerships with the Florida Department of Health and local organizations, the County is advancing its Getting to Zero initiative—aimed at reducing new infections, eliminating stigma and expanding access to care.
World AIDS Day is more than a commemoration—it’s a movement. We encourage all residents to get tested, learn about prevention, and stand against stigma. Together, we can build a healthier, more inclusive Miami-Dade.
