North Miami Councilwoman Mary Estimé-Irvin, District 3, in partnership with Miami-Dade County Commissioner Marleine Bastien, District 2, invites residents and visitors to attend the 7th Annual Soup Joumou Celebration in honor of Haitian Independence Day.
This beloved annual event celebrates freedom, unity, and Haitian heritage through the sharing of Soup Joumou, a powerful symbol of liberation dating back to Haiti’s independence on January 1, 1804. Attendees are invited to come together in community to reflect on history, culture, and pride while enjoying this meaningful tradition.
