
Miami Beach attorney, philanthropist and cultural leader Aaron Resnick, Esq. was inducted as the 2022 president of the Miami Beach Bar Association at the organization’s 75th Anniversary celebration on Tuesday, December 14 at The Moxy South Beach’s rooftop lounge “The Upside.”
“As a third generation Miami Beach resident, I am humbled and honored to have been chosen as the 2022 president of the Miami Beach Bar Association,” said Aaron Resnick, Esq. “I look forward to contributing my ideas and vision, including bringing more philanthropy to the Miami Beach Bar Association.”
Resnick was inducted by City of Miami Beach Mayor Dan Gelber, Esq., the keynote speaker, and the installation of the MBBA 2022 officers and directors was officiated by Miami-Dade County Judge Stephanie Silver.

Former Miami Beach Commissioner and community association attorney Michael Gongora, Esq. hosted the event with special proclamations from the City of Miami Beach, presented by Miami Beach Commissioner Kristen Rosen-Gonzalez.
The Miami Beach Bar Association was organized in 1946 by a small group of Miami Beach attorneys. Philanthropist and local attorney Baron De Hirsch Meyer was elected as its first president. Many of its members have gone on to serve as city officials, including several mayors and city commissioners, as well as judges, including the former Chief Justice of the Florida Supreme Court Gerald Kogan and current United States District Court Judge Beth Bloom.
Today, more than 700 attorneys live or work in the City of Miami Beach, making the Miami Beach Bar Association one of the most prominent bar associations in Florida and the United States.

The Miami Beach Bar Association (“MBBA”) was organized in 1946 by a small group of Miami Beach attorneys. Philanthropist and local attorney Baron De Hirsch Meyer was elected as its first President. About Aaron Resnick, Esq.
Aaron Resnick, Esq. is a graduate of Leadership Miami and AV Preeminent-rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell. In 2021, Lawyer International Magazine named Resnick the Business Litigation Lawyer of the Year in the United States, a recognition he previously received from Lawyer Monthly Magazine. Resnick is currently the President Elect of the Miami Beach Bar Association and the Co-Chairperson of the Miami-Dade Bar Association’s Civil Litigation Committee.

Resnick currently serves on the University of Florida’s Law Alumni Council and is an Ambassador for Emory University.
Resnick is admitted to all the state and federal courts in Florida and the United States Supreme Court. His law practice concentrates on business and commercial matters, focusing on litigation, real estate and real estate litigation and consumer class actions. He has been involved in numerous high-profile shareholder/partnership disputes, serves as local counsel for numerous top firms outside the state of Florida, and is currently co-counsel in more than 10 consumer class actions. Resnick’s cases have been reported on prominently in The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, The Miami Herald, Barron’s, Politico, Above the Law, the Advocate, Buzz Feed, The Daily Beast, MSN, Yahoo, the Daily Business Review, South Florida Business Journal, The Real Deal, and Courthouse News, as well as on ABC News.

Resnick serves on the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce’s Law Council. He was elected three times to serve as a member of the Board of Directors of the Dade County Bar Association Young Lawyers Section and previously served as a committee chair for the American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division, an organization which recognized him as the American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division’s Star of the Quarter. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and South Florida Business Journal both previously recognized Resnick as one of the Top 40 under 40 professionals in South Florida. He was also the first male to serve on the Board of Directors of the Miami-Dade Chapter of the Florida Association of Women Lawyers.
Resnick was awarded the “Shining Star” Award by the Arts & Business Council of Miami, Inc. This annual award honors a leading Miami business professional supporting the arts and cultural community. Resnick co-founded the Little Lighthouse Foundation, www.littlelighthouse.org, a Miami-based charity that identifies, and provides support to children and their families with health, educational, and financial challenges, and serves on its board of directors.
Resnick is the founding chairperson of the Friends of the New World Symphony, and now serves permanently on its Executive Committee. Resnick serves on the Art in Public Places Committee for the City of Miami Beach. He also sat on the Board of Directors for the Miami Design Preservation League for more than 10 years.
Resnick is a member of AIPAC’s Florida Leadership Circle and a member of AIPAC’s Washington Club. He is on Board of Directors of Hillel at Florida International University and is one of the Jewish National Fund’s Lawyers for Israel. He is also a Regional Board Member of the Maccabi World Union and a member of the Ben Gurion Society of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation.
Resnick is a founding member and Patron of the Perez Art Museum, a Benefactor for the Bass Museum, a Society Member for the Friends of the New World Symphony, an ICA Next patron of the Institute of Contemporary Art Miami and a Supporting Member of the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts.
Resnick served on the executive committee for numerous young patron groups in South Florida, including Best Buddies of South Florida, Big Brothers Big Sister’s Impact Circle, Art Crowd of the Bass Museum, the Green Room Society for the Center for Performing Arts, the Tropees of the Historical Museum of Southern Florida, the Jewish Legal Society of Miami, and the MOCA Shakers, among others.
