APRIL FINANCIAL IMPACT SURVEY – Wednesday, May 6th

Dear Colleagues,

We need your help and attention to these important action items.

PLEASE COMPLETE THE APRIL COVID-19 IMPACT SURVEY

The Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs is now collecting data about the impact of the COVID-19 public health crisis on the cultural community for April 1-30, 2020. Please fill out the survey now (link below). Your response to this monthly survey helps create awareness and urgency about the real impacts of the pandemic on the arts and cultural sector. We will continue to share the collective results with local, state and national funders, media, and public and private sector leaders.

APRIL SURVEY DEADLINE: Wednesday, May 6, 2020 (include data only from April 1-30, 2020)

Click here to respond to the April survey and access the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Financial Assessment Tools.

Thank you to all who participated in the COVID-19 Survey of Impact on Miami-Dade County’s Cultural Community (CO-SIC) for the month of March. Your responses provided powerful data, showing the COVID-19 pandemic had a total financial impact for March of  $22.8 million on nonprofit arts and cultural organizations and has affected 1,700 arts and cultural jobs.

PLEASE NOTE: NEW QUESTIONS ON THE SURVEY

New survey questions regarding resources that your organization has applied for and/or received from public and private sources at the local, state and/or federal level have been added to the Survey. Additionally, there are new questions designed to collect specific data regarding the categories of jobs affected. Therefore, we have updated the  COVID-19 Financial Impact Tracker (CO-FIT)  to assist you in preparing to answer these job-related questions.

To complete the April survey, you will need your organization’s completed  CO-FIT Tracker for the month of April (include only information from April 1 – 30th) and a list of COVID-19 recovery support opportunities that you have applied for/received. Please refer to the  Frequently Asked Questions  or contact your grants program administrator directly with questions. You can find a  staff directory  here.  As always, the Department staff and I are here to support you however we can.

WE ARE STILL “CLOSED FOR BUSINESS”

We have heard from many of you wondering if there is any news regarding reopening of cultural facilities and programs. It is important to note that ALL cultural activities are suspended until the Emergency Orders issued due to the COVID-19 pandemic are lifted. The Emergency Orders issued by Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Gimenez, closing all cultural facilities and activities, remain in effect until lifted. Stay informed here: http://www.miamidade.gov/coronavirus.

Stay socially distanced and healthy!
