On Monday, Sept. 4, Miami-Dade County offices, courts, libraries, and the Pet Adoption Center will be closed for the Labor Day holiday.
Observed every year on the first Monday in September, Labor Day recognizes the many contributions workers have made to U.S. strength, prosperity, and well-being.

- The Deering Estate will offer $5 general admission throughout the Labor Day Weekend: Saturday, Sept.2, Sunday, Sept. 3, and Monday, Sept. 4. Admission is free for active-duty military personnel and up to five family members as part of Blue Star Museums. Enjoy wildlife viewing, bay vistas, and self-guided access to the museums. Visitors can purchase tickets to the Deering Estate online.
Safety Tips:
