Our Top 5 RV Camping Destinations in Florida (SO FAR!)

This week we take a look back at our top 5 (so far) RV camping destinations in Florida. All these parks and cities we’ve stayed at more than once, sometimes several times!

Fort De Soto State Park
Rainbow Springs State Park
Cedar Key RV Resort
Boyd’s Key West Campground
and Anastasia State Park

But more than just the campgrounds we love the areas surrounding the sites. There were a couple more we really have loved like Paynes Prairie, Chassahowitzka and Fort Pickens to name a few.
These are some of our top places to visit in FLORIDA!
So the next time you travel to the Sunshine State these parks and cities might just need to be added to your to do and see lists!

  1. My husband and I met at Ripley’s Believe It or Not in St. Aug in 1989 and got married in the garden there in 1992. This was back when you had match books available for guests and ours said (yes really our names) TOM and Gerri, “Believe It or Not” September 12, 1992

  2. Very nice video. Any alligators or crocodiles in those rivers and lakes. Which is the best time to visit to avoid the awful humidity. We're want to take a cross country trip from California to Florida, maybe in October pending the delivery of our new motorhome which is on order and there's not date yet. Thanks I just subscribed.

  3. New subscribers here from Ohio. Saw you on videos recently with some of the Ohio RV families we follow. Great content! Look forward to following along for more inspiration as we head toward full time in a year or so.

  4. Problem with all State parks in Florida is they book up quickly. Many of them you have to book 12 months out to get a spot. Definitely some of the best places to camp in Florida and inexpensive but a pain to book.

  5. Check out Jacksonville's huguenot memorial park. Super quite direct oceanfront park with incredible beach, very secure, and right across from Mayport Naval station. Only 27.00 a night for an RV!

  6. I'm a tent camper, so don't know if the RV's have waterfront sites at Ft DeSoto, but those are wonderful. I just found your channel and will be catching up. My favorite park so far, since I haven't been to any Florida beach campgrounds, is Oscar Scherer. Again, waterfront tent spots on the river, including one that has a mini-peninsula jutting into the creek. Loved you boneyard shots. Thanks for stirring up happy memories

  7. Once you cross the bridge into key west what happens there stays there .
I personally liked key west in the early 90 s all the steel drums playing on the streets were awesome.

  8. Since St. Andrews State park in Panama City Beach didn't show up on this list, I'm guessing you haven't been there. It took a couple of direct hits by hurricanes in the past few years, but it's one of the most beautiful parks we've encountered in all of Florida. The beach is amazing, and the campground has quite a few really nice sites right on the bay. Part of the park is closed for repairs/renovations, but when it's all back opened again, you should definitely take a trip there. We come down from Ohio to camp in different parts of Florida whenever we can and we can't believe a park this nice costs less than $25 a night. Come to think of it, don't go there and do a video. It's already hard enough to book a site!
