Miami Emerging Arts Leaders – Protecting Intellectual Property? Sounds like a Skill Issue… Learn Contract Basics with LegalARTLink

Do you know how to protect your intellectual property? Join the Miami Emerging Arts Leaders and Allyn Ginns Ayers, Esq., Director of LegalARTLink at Locust Projects, a program aimed at providing free legal support to creatives. This session will cover contract basics, legal jargon, and intellectual property rights for artists. Opening remarks by Michael Spring, Director of the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs.

A Georgetown University Law graduate with more than a decade of experience practicing law, Allyn has provided numerous seminars for artists on topics ranging from intellectual property to copyright law to student loan repayment. Combining legal expertise with performing arts, Allyn has been an avid dancer since the age of three and currently serves as Rehearsal Director and Dancer with Dance Now! Miami.

The presentation will be followed by an interactive Q&A.
