Report fraud

The mission of the Office of Inspector General (OIG) is to detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, waste, mismanagement, misconduct and abuse of power through independent oversight of County affairs. The OIG seeks to recover public funds from County officials, employees, contractors and vendors doing business with the County.

You may remain anonymous; however, we encourage you to identify yourself so we can follow up and gather additional information for our investigation. If you choose to provide your name, your identity will be protected to the fullest extent of the law.

Additionally, Florida law and the Miami-Dade County Code have provisions that protect employees and independent contractors from retaliation under certain circumstances. If you believe reporting to the OIG may put you at risk of retaliation, please inform us of your concerns.

If you suspect fraud, waste, misconduct or have any other concerns within County government, report it to the OIG.
