Spay It Forward! free spay and neuter surgeries for cats and dogs

Miami-Dade County Animal Services is offering FREE spay and neuter surgeries for both cats and dogs during the Spay It Forward! campaign, which runs from Feb. 22 – Feb. 28. This week-long initiative, in partnership with the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), the Miami Veterinary Foundation The Cat Network, and the Street Cat Clinic, aims to help humanely manage the community pet population. The campaign will include the Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR) program for free-roaming community cats.

Appointments are required and can be made by calling 311. The campaign also offers free spay and neuter surgeries for all Miami-Dade County residents’ owned pets, encouraging pet owners to get ahead of the spring mating season.

The Spay It Forward! campaign helps reduce the number of unwanted litters, preventing overcrowding at shelters and allowing resources to be focused on adoption, outreach and education.

For more information, please visit the Animal Services Department, call 311, or follow @adoptmiamipets on social media.
