2015 Dance/USA National Conference in Miami

The Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs is excited to be hosting the 2015 Dance USA national conference in Greater Miami June 17-20, 2015. Dance USA annual conferences bring together nearly 500 individuals associated with the professional dance field, from executive directors to emerging arts leaders, from managers and presenters to agents and artists, for networking, creative conversation, enriching training sessions, sharing best practices, exploring potential partnerships and collaborations, discussion on important issues facing the field, and performances.

Right now, Dance/USA is offering a special membership package: you could receive 50% off your companys annual dues for 2 consecutive member years. Dance groups that have not been members of Dance/USA for the past five years or more are eligible for the special membership rate, if they join before September 30, 2014. Membership rates for Independent Artists/Choreographers are $75 per year. Members of Dance USA are eligible to receive many benefits, including a discounted member rate for the annual conference, free distance learning opportunities, attendance at the Dance Forum held annually in New York City just prior to the APAP Conference, access to field-specific research and information, among others. More information on member benefits is available here, and you can follow the link to the Dance USA online Membership form.

There will be a lot of planning and preparation in the coming months, as we get ready to welcome the national dance community to South Florida. We will keep you informed as the plans develop.

Working together, we can continue to develop a rich, vibrant future for dance in Miami.
