Applications open for the Heat and Hydration Small Business Support Grant

South Florida is getting hotter—and for outdoor workers, that heat can be dangerous. From landscapers to construction crews, many small businesses rely on teams working long hours in the sun.

To help protect them, the Miami Foundation is offering small businesses a grant that provides $250 to $1,000 in prepaid gift cards to help them purchase cooling gear, water stations, shade tents and other heat safety tools.

This grant is made possible by the Miami-Dade County Office of Environmental Risk and Resilience.

Applications will be accepted through May 9.
