City of West Palm Beach to Host the Opening of the Pleasant City Community Garden 

WHO:              City of West Palm Beach Department of Housing and Community Development
                        Florida A&M University Cooperative Extension Office
                        Members of the Public

WHAT:             In partnership with FAMU and HUD, the City of West Palm Beach will host the opening of the Pleasant City Community Garden and Workshop: How to Build a Raised Garden Bed. As a result of the FAMU Cooperative Extension, this is one of three gardens that will provide essential programs and fresh produce in an area considered a “food desert.” FAMU will oversee the operations, food production, and workshops.

                        The FAMU Cooperative Extension will continue its outreach by providing West Palm Beach residents with the tools and resources to live healthier lives.

WHEN:            Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at 10:00 a.m.

WHERE:           Pleasant City Community Garden, 2147 Spruce Avenue
