Connecting Communities: Experience Government Week 2024 in North Miami

October 17, 2024

The City of North Miami is proud to announce its participation in Government Week 2024, a celebration that thrives on community engagement. From October 21 to 27, North Miami’s Vice Mayor Mary Estimé- Irvin invites residents to learn more about their local government, participate in community events, and engage with city leaders. The City will host various weekly activities to foster transparency, civic pride, and involvement.

On Tuesday, October 22, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Annual Business Breakfast—one of the week’s most anticipated events—will be held at the FIU Kovens Conference Center, 3000 NE 151st St., North Miami, FL 33181. This engaging networking brunch will bring together entrepreneurs, city officials, and business leaders for a morning of education and collaboration. Attendees will not only gain valuable insights from an inspiring keynote speaker on key issues impacting local businesses but also have the chance to connect and exchange ideas with influential figures in the community.

Vice Mayor Mary Estimé-Irvin emphasized the importance of Government Week in building stronger connections between the City and its residents. “Government Week is a time for us to celebrate our relationship with our community, “said Vice Mayor Mary Estimé-Irvin. “It’s an opportunity for residents to engage with their local government and for us to highlight how we serve and support our community. We are particularly excited to welcome business leaders to the Annual Business Breakfast to discuss the future of our vibrant business community.”

Government Week 2024 will be a vibrant and diverse celebration, packed with events such as family-friendly public safety demonstrations, educational seminars, and open houses at several city agencies. The City of North Miami urges all citizens to take part in and enjoy this special week-long festival.
