April 1, 2025
The City of North Miami and Councilwoman Mary Estimé-Irvin, District 3, to host a groundbreaking ceremony for the highly anticipated Cagni Park North Construction Project on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, from 10 to 11:30 a.m., at Cagni Park North, 791 NE 135th Street, North Miami, FL 33161.
This project, launched in partnership with Miami-Dade County, the Miami-Dade County Public Schools Board, and KVC Constructors, reflects the City’s commitment to revitalizing public spaces, enhancing quality of life, and driving local economic growth. The initiative will reshape Cagni Park North into a vibrant recreational hub with state-of-the-art amenities to serve residents of all ages.
Councilwoman Estimé-Irvin, a strong advocate for community development, will attend the ceremony and share insights on the project’s significance. “The Cagni Park North Construction Project is more than just an infrastructure upgrade—it represents progress, opportunity, and a shared vision for our city’s future,” said Councilwoman Estimé-Irvin. “By prioritizing local hiring and sustainable development, we are ensuring that North Miami residents benefit directly from this investment.”
Phase 1 of the project, set to begin in April 2025 and conclude by June 2026, includes the construction of a state-of-the-art aquatic facility, a multi-purpose field, open green spaces, and expanded parking. These enhancements aim to increase recreational opportunities, promote healthy lifestyles, and create an inviting environment for families, youth programs, and community events.
In addition to providing modern recreational facilities, the City of North Miami is implementing a community-first approach by integrating a local hiring plan into the project. By collaborating with local agencies and contractors, the city will offer employment opportunities in construction and related trades, fostering workforce development and economic stability.
The park’s redevelopment will also prioritize environmental sustainability and accessibility, incorporating energy-efficient designs, eco-conscious landscaping, and ADA-compliant pathways to ensure a welcoming space for all community members.
Residents, local organizations, and members of the media are invited to attend this milestone event and witness the beginning of a project that will serve North Miami for generations to come.
