2022 was an exciting and productive year for public transportation and mobility improvements. DTPW is advancing many critical transit and public works programs that will greatly benefit our community and quality of life for years to come.
We are accelerating five rapid transit corridors that will be gamechangers in our region’s connectivity; building dozens of transit-oriented communities that will contain more than 6,000 units of affordable and workforce housing; improving safety on our streets to significantly reduce motorist, bicyclist and pedestrian injuries and deaths; electrifying our bus fleet that will create a more efficient system while protecting our environment; and deploying a state-of-the-art Advanced Traffic Management System that will improve safety and mobility for drivers, bicyclists and pedestrians.
