Grant Deadline Updates due to Hurricane Dorian

Due to Hurricane Dorian’s approach, the Application Deadline for the Community Grants Program’s Fiscal Year 2019 – 2020 Second Quarter has been extended from the initial deadline of Thursday, September 5, 2019 at 11:59 PM to the new Application Deadline of Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at 11:59 PM.  The Courtesy Review Deadline for returning applicants seeking a full comment and correction review expired Thursday, August 29, 2019 at 11:59 PM and will not be extended.

Activities must be able to stimulate tourism and have significant media impact for Miami-Dade County.

YOUTH ARTS PROGRAM

Summer Arts and Science Camps for Kids Grants Program (SAS-C)

This annual program helps non-profit organizations provide underserved children in Miami-Dade County with opportunities to attend high quality cultural arts and science summer camp programs at little or no cost. Funding is intended to supplement established, high quality programs, providing more children with the opportunity to participate in cultural arts and science summer camps.

OUTREACH PROGRAM

Audience Access Grants Program (AUD)

Provides funding to help pay for arts program ADA/access technology and services, such as American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters, captioning, audio description, materials in accessible format, ADA/access training, and other such services to ensure programmatic access for audiences of all abilities. This program is not intended to provide assistance in funding capital/facilities projects or improvements, such as construction, renovation or major equipment purchases.

Applications for this program are accepted on a year-round basis, subject to the availability of funds.  Funding is limited, and eligible projects will be awarded on a first come, first serve basis.  Funded projects are paid on a reimbursement basis.

PRE-GRANT SUBMISSION WORKSHOPS:

First-time applicants are required to attend a pre-grant submission workshop. Applicants must be a registered user of SurveyMonkey Apply to apply for a Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs grant.
