The Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners is accepting resumes for two vacancies to serve on the Greater Miami Expressway Agency Governing Board.
Appointees will serve without compensation. Be advised by submitting your resume, you are representing that you meet all of the requirements to hold the office to which you desire to be nominated.
Persons who, on or after July 1, 2009, were members of the governing body or employees of the former Miami-Dade County Expressway Authority or who hold or have held in the previous two years, elected or appointed office in Miami-Dade County may not be appointed members of the governing body of the agency. Additionally, persons may not be appointed if they meet any of the criteria provided in section 348.0305(2), Florida Statutes.
One member shall be appointed for a term of 1 year and one member for a term of 3 years.

Requirements:
- Resident of unincorporated Miami-Dade County
- Reside within 15 miles of an area with the highest amount of GMX toll roads
- Reflect the state’s interests in the transportation sector and represent the intent, duties and purpose of GMX
- Have at least three years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas: finance, land use planning, tolling industry or transportation engineering
- May not hold, or have held in the previous two years, elected or appointed office in the County of the member’s permanent residency
- May not, on or after July 1, 2009, have been a member of the governing body or an employee of the Miami-Dade Expressway Authority (MDX)
- May not be a lobbyist
- May not currently represent or have represented or lobbied GMX or MDX in the last four years
- May not have done business or been an employee of a company that has done business with GMX or MDX in the last four years
- May not have been an employee of GMX in the last two years
