This annual program helps non-profit organizations provide underserved children in Miami-Dade County with opportunities to attend high quality cultural arts and science summer camp programs at little or no cost. Funding is intended to supplement established, high-quality programs, providing more children with the opportunity to participate in cultural arts and science summer camps.

Shuttered Venues Operators Grant – Supplemental Awards
Pay attention to your inbox and apply if you’re eligible!
SBA is beginning supplemental notifications to eligible Shuttered Venue Operators Grant awardees. Those who received an initial grant and can show a 70% loss when comparing 2021’s first-quarter revenues to the same in 2019, are eligible to receive a supplemental grant. Awardees can choose to apply for any amount up to 50% of their original Shuttered Venue Operators Grant amount, with a $10 million cap of the initial and supplemental awards combined. The supplemental funds also allow Shuttered Venue Operators Grant awardees to extend the time to use their grant funds for expenses accrued through June 30, 2022 and lengthen their budget period to 18 months from the initial grant’s award date.

Heritage Emergency National Task Force Updates
FEMA Funding – Important News for Arts and Cultural Organizations
FEMA is now providing retroactive reimbursement for safe opening and operation costs incurred to address COVID safety for expenses incurred from Jan. 20, 2020, through Dec. 31, 2021. Eligible private nonprofits can apply. Reimbursement is exclusive to COVID-19 emergency and major disaster declarations through FEMA’s Public Assistance program. Items that may be eligible for reimbursement include face coverings, Personal Protective Equipment, cleaning and disinfection, COVID-19 diagnostic testing, screening and temperature scanning and portable temporary physical barriers for social distancing.

FUNDING FOR INDIVIDUAL ARTISTS
Cinematic Arts Residency Program
Oolite Arts – Apply by October 1, 2021 at 6 PM
Oolite Arts has officially opened the call for the 2022 Cinematic Arts Residency Program. One lucky filmmaker will receive up to $50k to create a narrative micro-budget feature, a dedicated producer, and access to a shared cinematic arts studio space.

MIAMI-DADE ART IN PUBLIC PLACES OPPORTUNITY
City of Homestead: Losner Park Call to Artists
Submission Deadline: October 4, 2021, by 4:00 PM
This is an open call for proposals from professional artists and/or artist teams to design, engineer, fabricate, permit, deliver and install Everglades inspired animal sculpture art and Everglades inspired paving art within the “Re-Imagined Losner Park” under construction in the historic Downtown area. The selected artist will design two unique “Animal Sculpture” signature play and icon paving art features that will provide the park’s patrons with an outstanding visual and interactive experience and create a unique identity for the park spaces.

2021-2022 South Florida Cultural Consortium (SFCC) Grant to Contemporary Visual and Media Artists
New Deadline: Monday, December 13, 2021
The South Florida Cultural Consortium Grant Program offers the largest regional, government-sponsored artists’ grants in the United States, awarding $15,000 and $7,500 grants to resident visual and media artists from the counties of Broward, Martin, Miami-Dade, Monroe, and Palm Beach. Since it was established in 1988, the Consortium has awarded over to $4 million in grants to over 300 artists. In addition to receiving the grant, the artists take part in an exhibition hosted and organized by a visual arts institution in one of the five counties. See application details and guidelines.

Submit cultural events for the 2022 Golden Ticket Arts Guide
Deadline: Thursday, September 30, 2021
The Golden Ticket Arts Guide provides free admission to seniors. The new guide will be available in January 2022. Cultural organizations that wish to participate may access the event submission form.
