Ideas to make Mother’s Day a special day

This Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 14, show mom how much you appreciate her and how grateful you are she is in your life. 

Here are some ways to give your mom her very own special day. Happy Mother’s Day!

  • Mother’s Day at Deering Estate
    Celebrate the day outdoors, enjoying the various natural experiences offered by the historic Deering Estate. Bring the whole family to picnic and enjoy the outdoors with beautiful views of Biscayne Bay, or take a bay cruise. General admission is $15 for adults ages 15 and older and $7 for children ages 4 to 14.
     
  • Celebrate at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden
    Spend Mother’s Day in the Garden and pamper mom with picnic baskets, plants, specialty mimosa tastings and more. Tickets for the Mimosa tastings are $24 and are not included in the price of admission. Picnic baskets will be available for purchase. Entrance fees to the garden are Adults $24.95, Seniors $17.95, Students $15.95, Child (6-17) $11.95, Child (0-6) free.
     
  • Enjoy the Fruit & Spice Park
    This tropical botanical garden is as special as a mother’s love. In fact, it’s so unique it’s the only one of its kind in the U.S. Stroll through this 37-acre subtropical paradise nestled in the heart of the Redland to the varieties of fruits, vegetables, spices, herbs, nuts, and other commercially essential plant specimens from around the world. Adults admissions are $10 and $3 for children 6-11. On Saturday, May 13, Fruit & Spice Park will host a Sangria Tasting and Tour. he tasting and tour are from 1 – 4 p.m. and admission is $50 per person.
  • Vizcaya Museum & Gardens
    Treat mom to a tour of this magnificent Mediterranean Revival-style estate. Explore the mansion’s beautifully preserved rooms and gorgeous indoor and outdoor gardens. Tickets are $25 Adults (13 and over), $10 Children (6-12), Free for Children (5 and under).  Then, check out the onsite farmer’s market to purchase delicacies and hand-crafted goods for local vendors.
