Learn about new registry requirements for HOAs and community associations

Starting in 2023, Miami-Dade County’s new Ordinance for Registration of Community Associations requires condominium associations, cooperative associations, and homeowners’ associations (HOAs) to register yearly with the county’s Consumer Protection Division.

This ordinance affects associations located in both incorporated and unincorporated Miami-Dade County. It will require information such as the legal description of the residence governed by the association, emergency contact information, and a list of the association’s officers and directors to be entered into a public county database, due by Feb. 1, 2023.

You’re invited to watch a recording  of the virtual meetings we held to discuss the full list of requirements for registration, the fees required, and how to use the online portal.
