Miami-Dade Approves Use of Cameras on School Buses to Emphasize Student Safety

In July 2023, Florida authorized the installation of cameras on school buses to enhance safety by citing drivers who illegally pass stopped school buses. An agreement between Miami-Dade County Public Schools, BusPatrol, and the Miami-Dade Police Department now allows for the enforcement of this initiative. Violators identified by these cameras will be issued citations.

If you have received a citation, please visit the official AlertBus link for detailed information and instructions. To process your citation accurately and promptly, you will be required to enter your Citation Number and License Plate exactly as they appear on the citation document.
