National Employee Appreciation Day is March 1

Miami-Dade County will celebrate our workforce throughout March and invites County employees and departments to celebrate by sharing photos of employees thriving at work. Photos will be shared with the County family on the I THRIVE website. Use the hashtag #EAM2024 with your department acronym at the end; for example, #EAM2024WASD. There will be weekly prize drawings from all submissions.

Employee Appreciation Month Events

• February 29 – Pre-Launch Event – Employee Appreciation Station and Biometric Screenings at South Dade Government Center 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. 
• March 8 – Glow to Thrive at Tropical Park from 6 to 10 p.m. 
• March 14 – Monthly Service Awards Presentations at BCC Chambers, 9 a.m.
• March 15 – Clerk of Courts – Employee Appreciation Station and Biometric Screenings from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. 
• March 19 – Water and Sewer Headquarters – Employee Appreciation Station and Biometric Screenings from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
• March 27 – Aviation Department – Employee Appreciation Station from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Employees can learn about valuable programs from the Human Resources Department, including WellnessWorks, Employee Support Services, I THRIVE and the IDEA Machine. Benefit providers, the Dade County Federal Credit Union, Beyond Med, Tropical Federal Credit Union and others will join these events which will include giveaways and surprises.
