New ‘Highlighting Heritage’ Initiative is Underway
Mayor and City Commissioners honored Recipients for Black History Month 

WEST PALM BEACH, FL – In the month of February, Mayor Keith A. James announced his new initiative, ‘Highlighting Heritage’, to recognize individuals during two separate month-long heritage celebrations. During the Commissioners meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2023, the Mayor, and each of the five City Commissioners honored a resident who played a vital role in serving and improving West Palm Beach. The very first honorees of this initiative were Bishop AJ Wright, Annie Nelson, Edith Bush, Trinnette Morris, Michael Odom and Dr. Mary Ann Dupont.
