National Endowment for the Arts
Grants for Arts Projects
Application Deadline July 8, 2021
Grants support arts projects that use the arts to unite and heal in response to current events; celebrate our creativity and cultural heritage; invite mutual respect for differing beliefs and values; and enrich humanity. Applicants may request cost share/matching grants ranging from $10,000 to $100,000. Designated local arts agencies eligible to subgrant may request from $10,000 to $150,000 for subgranting programs in the Local Arts Agencies discipline. A minimum cost share/match equal to the grant amount is required.

Music Access Miami Mini-Grants 2021
Deadline July 9, 2021
Music Access Miami aims to increase access to high-quality music education & experiences for every child & family. The inaugural launch of Music Access Mini-Grants offers support for capacity building, general operating support, and program support for both music organizations and teachers.
The power of music is undeniable. Children who are exposed to music education benefit from life-long benefits for their mind, body, and spirit. Research demonstrates that music education positively impacts various aspects of youth development, from literacy & math to Interpersonal abilities & confidence.
Grants for non-profits are available for general operating support for organizations whose mission is to serve youth through music in Miami-Dade County. Funds can be used to provide programmatic support for arts organizations to serve youth through music in Miami-Dade County and/or to increase organizational capacity to support the mission. Knight Arts Challenge
Application Deadline July 31, 2021
The Knight Arts Challenge will fund ideas from local artists and arts organizations who are asked to answer this question in 150 words or less: “What is your best idea for the arts in either Akron, Detroit or Miami?” Applications open on July 1 and run through July 31. A group of finalists will be chosen in each city to elaborate on their ideas. The winners will be announced in the fall and share up to $5 million across the three cities to bring their ideas to life.
Adam Ganuza, Knight arts program officer, will host two virtual town halls to discuss the rules of the Challenge. Register here for the town hall at 6:30 p.m. ET on Mon. July 26. Applicants can also schedule 15-minute informational sessions with the Knight Arts Team on weekdays through July 30 by clicking here.

NEA Offers Relief Funds through the American Rescue Plan
The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) is announcing two programs to distribute American Rescue Plan (ARP) funds. These programs are open to nonprofit arts and culture organizations and local arts agencies, regardless of whether they have received NEA funding in the past.
Grants to Organizations
Application Deadline: August 12, 2021
Support for operating costs:
fixed grant amounts of $50,000, $100,000, or $150,000
The Rescue Plan’s Grants to Organizations program will be carried out through one-time grants to eligible organizations including, but not limited to, nonprofit arts organizations, local arts agencies, arts service organizations, units of state or local government, federally recognized tribal communities or tribes, and a wide range of other organizations that can help advance the goals of this program. FUNDING OPPORTUNITUES FOR INDIVIDUAL ARTISTS
2021-2022 South Florida Cultural Consortium (SFCC) Grant
Deadline: Monday, October 25, 2021
The South Florida Cultural Consortium Grant Program offers the largest regional, government-sponsored artists’ grants in the United States, awarding $15,000 and $7,500 grants to resident visual and media artists from the counties of Broward, Martin, Miami-Dade, Monroe, and Palm Beach. Since it was established in 1988, the Consortium has awarded over to $4 million in grants to over 300 artists. In addition to receiving the grant, the artists take part in an exhibition hosted and organized by a visual arts institution in one of the five counties. The SFCC Celebrated 30 years in 2018. Arts and Culture part of Freedom Week Sales Tax Holiday
July 1 – July 7, 2021
The State of Florida has established the “Freedom Week” sales tax holiday. Sales taxes will be lifted July 1 through July 7, 2021, on a variety of purchases including:
• Tickets purchased for live music events, fairs, festivals, cultural events, and movies shown in theaters. The tickets can be good for events scheduled through Dec. 31.
• Admissions and annual passes to museums, ballets, plays, musical theater performances and state parks.

Florida Alliance for Arts Education
State Teaching Artists Directory
Community and school teaching artists to register in the newly launched State Teaching Artist Directory. There is no fee to register. The Directory will be sent to schools and community organizations to search for services. Artist registrations should provide details such as kinds of sessions you provided; how artist structures time and other logistics arts education experience for students; specific age groups artist works with (preschool, elementary, middle, high, adults); and fee structure.
