Summer Arts and Science Camps for Kids Grants Program (SAS-C):

Grant Application Deadline: November 30, 2016

 

This annual program helps non-profit organizations provide underserved children in Miami-Dade County with opportunities to attend high quality cultural arts and science summer camp programs at little or no cost. Funding is intended to supplement established, high quality programs, providing more children with the opportunity to participate in cultural arts and science summer camps. Please note that the SAS-C program guidelines are being revised. The new guidelines will be released prior to the workshop.

 

 

FY 2016-2017 Pre-Grant Submittal Workshop Schedule:

CGO basics workshops are incorporated as part of each grant-specific workshop.  First-time applicants and/or new staff members unfamiliar with the Culture Grants Online (CGO) grants system should attend the entire workshop as outlined below.

 

Tuesday, November 1, 2016:  2:00 PM – 4:30 PM

First-time Culture Grants Online (CGO) system users must arrive by 2:00 PM

Returning applicants who are NOT first time CGO users must arrive by 2:30 PM

 

Thursday, November 10, 2016:  10:00 AM – 12:30 PM

First-time Culture Grants Online (CGO) system users must arrive by 10:00 AM

Returning applicants who are NOT first time CGO users must arrive by 10:30 AM

SOUTH FLORIDA CULTURAL CONSORTIUM

Deadline: Today! October 31, 2016

 

The South Florida Cultural Consortium Program for Visual and Media Artists offers the largest regional, government-sponsored artists’ grants in the United States, awarding $15,000 and $7,500 fellowships to resident visual and media artists from the counties of Broward, Martin, Miami-Dade, Monroe, and Palm Beach. Since it was established in 1988, the Consortium has awarded close to $2 million in fellowships to over 200 artists.

Commission and Residency Opportunity for Performing Artists

MDC Live Arts: Live Arts Lab Alliance (LALA)

Deadline: Monday, October 31, 2016

MDC Live Arts announces the Live Arts Lab Alliance (LALA), a cohort of locally-based working artists selected for commission and to be in residence at the MDC Live Arts Lab. From January through May 2017, the Live Arts Lab Alliance will participate in peer-led bi-weekly gatherings in which practice, technique, feedback and ideas are shared. The cohort will also participate in workshops with MDC Live Arts guest artists, provide workshops to Miami-Dade College students and present a public showcase of their work. THE KNIGHT FOUNDATION’S – KNIGHT CITIES CHALLENGE

October 10 – November 3, 2016

 

The Knight Cities Challenge seeks new ideas from innovators who will take hold of the future of our cities. From October 10 to November 3, 2016, Knight invites applicants from anywhere to submit their ideas for making the 26 Knight communities more vibrant places to live and work. kennedy center LEAD 2017 Call for Proposals

deadline: December 31, 2016

 

The Kennedy Center Office of Accessibility is seeking proposals for the 2017 LEAD® conference that approach accessibility from a customer service and civil rights perspective, provide practical information addressing current trends and challenges in this field, actively engage participants through discussion and/or hands-on activities explore accessibility for a variety of cultural arts organizations, including performing arts centers, museums, theaters, state arts agencies, parks, zoos, and arenas target new, mid-career, or seasoned professionals.

 

The 2017 conference will be held in Austin, TX with capacity building workshops on August 6-7 and the conference on August 8-10. Sessions will be selected by and at the sole discretion of the LEAD® content committee under the supervision of the Kennedy Center.  Presenters should be prepared to cover travel and hotel expenses, meal costs, and applicable conference fees.   Presenters may submit more than one proposal.
