July 19, 2023

The City of North Miami is pleased to announce the official ribbon-cutting ceremony for the highly anticipated Freebee Transportation Program. This innovative program aims to enhance public transportation accessibility and promote sustainable mobility options for all residents of our vibrant city.

We cordially invite all residents, community leaders, and stakeholders to join this momentous occasion on Friday, July 21, 2023, at Griffing Community Center, 12220 Griffing Boulevard, North Miami, FL 33161, from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. This celebration marks the official launch of the Freebee Transportation Program and symbolizes our city’s commitment to fostering a more inclusive and environmentally friendly transportation system.

“I am delighted to introduce our Freebee Transportation Program, which aims to revolutionize transportation accessibility in our city,” said Vice Mayor Estimé-Irvin. “By offering free car rides, we are breaking down barriers and ensuring every resident can reach their destinations conveniently and affordably. I encourage all residents to take advantage of this opportunity and join us in creating a city where transportation is accessible for all,” said Vice Mayor Estimé-Irvin.

This initiative, presented by Vice Mayor Estimé-Irvin in collaboration with the North Miami Community Redevelopment Agency and Citizens’ Independent Transportation Trust, is an exciting step forward in our efforts to address transportation challenges, reduce traffic congestion, and enhance the quality of life for our residents. The program will provide free transportation services within the city, allowing individuals to conveniently commute to work, school, healthcare facilities, shopping centers, and other vital destinations.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony will feature a demonstration ride showcasing the services offered by Freebee. Attendees will also be able to learn more about the program and interact with representatives from the City of North Miami and Freebee.

This milestone in our city’s transportation is a step towards a more sustainable, inclusive, and connected future.
