Recycle right on America Recycles Day Wednesday, Nov. 15

On Nov. 15, celebrate America Recycles Day with the Miami-Dade County Department of Solid Waste Management (DSWM). This annual event serves to raise awareness of the importance of recycling and encourage residents to recycle properly and participate in all available recycling opportunities.

As part of this year’s America Recycles Day celebration, DSWM will host the Recycle Right Trivia Quiz Challenge on its Facebook page, where Miami-Dade residents will have the opportunity to win prizes for correctly answering questions about the county’s curbside recycling program.

To encourage residents to recycle year-round, DSWM will host an information booth in the Stephen P. Clark Center atrium, located at 111 NW 1st St, Miami, FL 33128, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Department staff will distribute information about the county’s curbside recycling program, the “Detox Your Home” chemical collection program, ChemAgain, and Home Composting workshops.
