Safety continues to be Transit’s top priority

Transit continues to augment protections for passengers and employees in order to prevent potential exposure to COVID-19.

In each Metrobus vehicle, the department is installing CCT24V-1, a new air treatment device designed to suppress dust, control certain odors and help control various harmful organisms throughout the air space inside of buses.

The product is used in addition to the standard filtration already in the vehicle and works to distribute elevated positive and negative ions. The technology improves overall HVAC filter performance.

Read the press release to learn more about key steps the department has taken during the COVID-19 pandemic.
