Student artists honored for their winning Every Drop Counts poster contest entries

Every Drop Counts Poster

Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, the Board of County Commissioners and Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department Director Roy Coley recognized 13 students who submitted winning entries for WASD’s 16th annual Every Drop Counts Poster Contest. This year’s theme, “Water is Life: Let’s Conserve It!”, inspired more than 3,200 creative entries from kindergarten to fifth grade students across the County.

A winner from each Commission District received recognition at the April 16 Board of County Commission meeting, which was fittingly scheduled during Water Conservation Month.

As part of Miami-Dade’s Water-Use Efficiency Plan, the contest educates students on appreciating water and the need to protect and conserve this critical natural resource.
