Support those affected by Hurricane Beryl

Miami-Dade County stands with our neighbors across the Caribbean as Hurricane Beryl leaves behind devastation, thousands of families without homes and businesses destroyed.

We are working with relief organizations including Global Empowerment Mission (GEM) to send aid to the affected islands. Below please find more information for residents who wish to send support to those impacted by this dangerous storm.

DONATE SUPPLIES

The affected communities are asking for the following items of greatest need. We urge those who wish to donate to send only items on this list and to prioritize new, not used, items.

  • trash bags
  • tarps and tents
  • sleeping bags
  • work gloves
  • solar-powered lights
  • industrial sponges
  • canned/nonperishable food (with 1+ year expiration date)
  • first aid kits
  • hygiene kits (hairbrush, toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, soap, washcloths, deodorant)
  • generators*
  • cots
  • sheets and blankets

*Please note generators can only be accepted at the Global Empowerment Mission HQ.
