Use your badge for easy elevator access to the office

County employees who work at the Stephen P. Clark Center (SPCC) can use their ID badges to request an elevator from the lobby that will take them directly to their home floor. By holding the ID up to the RFID reader located underneath the Lobby PORT terminal, the PORT system will recognize the employee and automatically request an elevator to the employee’s designated home floor.

The PORT display can still be utilized when requesting an elevator to any other floor. This update will reduce the number of individuals touching the PORT screens, especially those on the ground floor. Internal Services Department (ISD) will work to expand this functionality in the future.

On the morning of Tuesday, March 10, employees at SPCC were asked to use their ID to request an elevator from the lobby as the initial upload of data activated 85 percent of SPCC tenants. ISD staff is working to correct non-functioning IDs.

Also, if your ID does not request an elevator to your correct home floor by the end of the week, locate a Blue Jacket Ambassador who will gather the necessary information to correct the situation.

If you are still experiencing issues next week, please seek assistance at the Building Manager’s office. We anticipate having all IDs functioning properly by that time.

If you have any questions, call the Building Manager’s office at 305-375-2616.
