Curb Your Climate Impact with the City of West Palm Beach’s and the University of Florida’s Climate Smart Floridians Program

                             City of West Palm Beach residents, students, and businesses

WHAT:                 The University of Florida IFAS Climate Smart Floridians Program prepares individuals to make a big impact in the world through a course of study that provides a practical, comprehensive, multidisciplinary foundation for everyone. The City of West Palm Beach Office of Sustainability is proud to offer the Climate Smart Floridians program to residents, students, and businesses.

Through this 8-module program, you will enhance your skill set in areas including climate change, home energy, renewable energy, yards, food, water, green building, transportation, and consumption with a special focus on West Palm Beach issues and impacts. The program is taught by instructors who are experts in their respective fields, and courses are designed for practical real-world application. Participants will have access to free conservation resources provided by the Office of Sustainability.

Attend as few or as many modules as you’d like. Upon completion of all 8 modules, a special certificate will be awarded. Limited class size

  • Wednesday, June 26, 2023 – Climate Change and Health
  • Wednesday, July 10, 2023 – Home Energy and Renewable Energy
  • Wednesday, July 17, 2023 – Water
  • Wednesday, July 24, 2023 – Food
  • Wednesday, July 31, 2023 – Florida Yards
  • Wednesday, August 7, 2023 – Consumption and Waste
  • Wednesday, August 14, 2023 – Green Building and Transportation
